"Bumper profits from UK house builders"
"Both Barratt Developments, the UK's biggest builder by volume, and Galliford Try said they were able to increase their profit margins and build significantly more homes than a year ago. Galliford has doubled its interim dividend. They also said they were hopeful that a Government mortgage indemnity scheme would encourage far more people to move home. Mark Clare, the chief executive of Barratt, said: "There is an awful lot of pent up demand. People have been renting for three or four years and many are a bit fed up and they now realise that they are paying more in rent than if they had bought. We are hopeful that this demand will be unlocked." If you need conveyancing, visit us for the best conveyancing deals around!
